Year 10 Film Studies
Hello!
You have 30 minutes to work on the following. You need to answer the questions, paste a You Tube link to a disaster film and comment on it. It may be an idea to write your notes in a Text Edit document and then paste into the post. Put your hand up if you are unsure.
What does the term disaster mean?
What is a defition?
Can you give an example?
Find example of a film which is a 'disaster film'. Add a hyperlink to yoru post and example how it fits the genre.
Comment on editing, sound, camera angle, movement position, mise en scene. SHOW OFF WHAT YOU KNOW!!

Year 13 Second Life
1. Create Word or PPT to add notes from today. Title ?Second Life?
2. Go to Wiki Second Life ? What is it? History? Key data and dates.
3. Next go to my Media site for them on school VLE.
4. Go to link for Second Life Blog on VLE: http://blog.secondlife.com
Spend 10 minutes exploring pages and write down 5-10 things you think are of interest/ you didn?t know ? relating to audience and institution.
5. Go to Second Life link on VLE: http://www.secondlife.com
Create an Avatar! What do you get asked to do ? how does this benefit the audience? Evaluate your experience of this in your ppt/Word document.
6. Research theory on Second life and add links to notes.
7. Ensure your evaluation is complete and upload information to ?Your Thoughts on Second Life? Discussion on VLE. I will also add post on my blog incase the VLE is not working!

Year 12 Editing
Dear Year 12s,
Hope you are well. I am so sorry I am not there. I am very poorly and have rested all weekend to get better for you - but it didn't work!
You SHOULD be in the position in which you have filmed your PE and got your blog up to speed. If not, GET MOVING!!!
In today's lesson you need to start editing. The deadline for this is ALL completed for next Monday 30/11/09 so we can do class evaluations and post comments on your COMPLETED blogs. Then on Friday we will complete the evaluation of the PE and start on our main tasks the following week.
If you know how to editing (or someone in your group does) please demonstrate for the rest of your group but ensure they all have a go (so they write it up in their blogs). You must be aware of using correct media language (so keep a note of transitions etc).
If you are not sure Apple have lots of video tutorials - which will show you how to download your videos and edit. You can either google the keywords or follow this link: http://www.apple.com/findouthow/movies/imovie08.html
I will try to be online during this lesson and will look at your blogs, adding comments. Please post any queries or comments you have!
